Alice is a Youkai, Marisa is human and that bothers Alice. Youkai's live longer than human, almost like an immortal and she doesn't want to be separated with Marisa. Alice told her she's going to do something about it. She did not find any magic that could provide satisfactory results. She was desperate so she decided to use the Hourai Elixir. Mokou reminded her of the consequences if let Marisa drink it and Alice said, she will drink it herself.
Note:
Youkai - a supernatural being and are stronger and live longer than an average human, with lifespans often reaching into hundreds of years (or possibly more in some cases).
Hourai Elixir - offers not only the power over eternity but also brings misfortune. Anyone who drinks this forbidden elixir will cease to age, never become sick, and will not remain dead no matter how many times one is killed.
Mokou - also known as Fujiwara no Mokou. A human but currently ageless, but has existed for over 1300 years. She has the power to give eternal youth and immortality, resistance to and manipulation of fire. Touhou Wiki
