Suzuka was Kotone's maid and they were both in love. One day, Kotone told her about a story that if a prostitute wanted to prove her love, she needs to cut off her finger and give it to her customer. Kotone said she didn't believe the story and it was unthinkable to cut off your finger for someone you love. Suzuka said she believed the story and she will give her finger to her.
Their love was put to the test when Kotone was forced to marry a noble. They planned to run away but her father was too powerful. One day, she deceived Suzuka to meet her at their secret place and when Suzuka got there, she saw a letter of goodbye from Kotone with her bloody finger wrapped inside it.
This story was really sad and heartbreaking. In the end, Kotone couldn't run away with her even if she wanted too because she was afraid her father will destroy Suzuka's family.
