Mayuki and Eri saw a couple kissing and Mayuki was wondering if it was necessary to show that kind of affection in public. Eri told her it was the easiest way for a couple to show that they were going out and that they have that special relationship. Mayuki then said there was a lot more to dating than that, like holding hands and walking aimlessly together. Eri then suggested they'd go out together to give it a try. After that, Mayuki became conscious of her looks and she wanted to look cute just like Eri. She cut her hair and was trying on some cute clothes her aunt gave her. She then realized she was already falling in love.
One day, she and Eri talked in private and Eri told her they should stop going out. Mayuki came home, depressed and angry at herself for hoping that their relationship was real. Before they parted that day, she asked Eri to end their relationship with a kiss and Eri said,
"Sure, Not like it's my first time or anything"
And they kissed. Mayuki then thought,
"I love her. I'm sure of it. I'll never forget this moment"
I hate and love this story at the same time. Mayuki thought they were going out for real but for Eri, she was just doing it for fun and wasn't really serious about it. It was also sad when Eri said it wasn't her first time to kiss someone. She probably ditched her for some boy she just met and even said,
"I think I'm going to be pretty busy on the weekends from now on"
It's sad.. it's bitter.. it's painful..
