Maria has a boyish image and students admire her for that. One day, their class representative picked her to play a role of a prince in a play and Akane suddenly volunteered to play the role of the princess. Her classmates didn't like Akane because she was never nice to them, except for Maria. One day, they found Akane's costume all torn up and she offered to help her fix it up. Akane confessed her feelings to her and on the day of the play, she told Maria she will be her prince forever (despite her feminine looks).
The story really is cute by the way. Maria also like Akane but she never told her that. Akane always tells Maria she likes her but Maria never took it seriously until akane finally confessed her feelings.
