Okano met Kitagawa at the gymnastic club when on her first year in high school. They exchanged diaries and left messages on them. Okano and Kitagawa became close and eventually became lovers. One day, Kitagawa overheard that Okano was seen entering a motel with a guy. Okano said the guy was her boyfriend and Kitagawa broke up with her. Okano and Kitagawa never spoke again and years later, Okano only saw her in the arms of a guy.
This is a very sad story. I have hoped that they'll be back together but they never did. Okano was reminded by memories of her when she saw Kitagawa's diary, still on her possessions. She regret not ding what she should have done when they were together.
