Thirteen years ago, Maki had a secret love with Misaki but it came to an end when Misaki quit school and got pregnant. She cast a curse on her thinking,
"May your child in your belly fall in love with me instead.."
Even if she cast the curse, she didn't believe it would happen. But couple of years later, Maki is now a pharmacist and Misaki's daugther, Chisato, is madly in love with her.
I love this story. Maki convinced Chisato to go to a boarding school and Chisato promised to come back when she's 18. When she did, she sent a letter asking for her reward,
"I want the same things I always have.."
Now, a fully grown Chisato came back and Maki said,
"You win, Chisato.."
