Tomoko think she's plain but her friend Okamoto didn't think so. It's almost Christmas and Okamoto invited her to hang out with her. Tomoko was surprised and Okamoto thought she has a boyfriend. She then realized that Tomoko has an audition and was somehow relieved. She said,
"It's a little unfortunate that I won't be able to hit on you either.."
Next day, Tomoko thought Okamoto was making fun of her so she snapped and said,
"I know I'm plain! I know I have no connection to Christmas!! And you must've said that knowing I don't have a boyfriend!!...Stop making fun of me!!"
Okamoto just smiled and said,
"But I'm not even remotely making fun of you...Alright, fine. How about I say it straight up?...I like you Tomo-chin..."
She was about to kiss her and Tomoko suddenly slapped her. The day before her audition to the Philharmonic, she overheard Okamoto that she'll also be auditioning and she thought Okamoto only sees her as her rival. When they met again next day, Okamoto told her she loves her and Tomoko later confessed that she feels the same way.
