Akane caught a cold and Saeko came to visit her. They talked and Saeko wondered if Yanagihara would also come to visit. Yanagihara confessed his love to Akane before and she wanted to know what Akane's reply was. She asked her and Akane said she turned him down since she liked someone else. Saeko asked her who it was and Akane replied,
"Sae-chan..." and she hid herself under the sheets. Saeko didn't know how to react so she excused herself to get Akane some food. She then thought...
"Was that just some delirious talk because of her fever?...I didn't believe it... but I wanted too...I came to the realization...that I didn't want it to be some feverish talk..."
