Yuri Scanlation Groups Need Your Help!

Almost all our favorite yuri scanlation groups have posted this message on their sites so I decided to help spread the word:

As many of you may know quite a few of the yuri scanlation groups are struggling with a staff shortage of some sort and projects are having to be dropped or put on hold.

I am in the process of trying to get editors for the series that were dropped or are in danger or being put on hold/dropped. Several of the translators have given me their scripts so it is not a lack of translated chapters it is a lack of dedicated editors willing to see a series through to completion. (However translators are always welcome!)

If you are an editor interested in editing one of these series or your group wishes to pick up a series please contact me about the completed but unedited scripts (these translators have worked hard and I do not want to see their hard work go to waste).

I am also willing to work with anyone to get yuri releases out so if you are a group or independent scanlator lacking raws, translators or editors please let me know and I will be happy to assist in any way I can. All I ask is for more yuri releases in return!

Why ShizNat?

Okay, let's take a break and do some real blogging for a change.. hehehe

I got an email from Lena today and she asked why I prefer shiznat over other yuri couples. I was planning to post the full email but I figured, she might not like that idea. Anyway, She said:

"Why do you like them or to put it another way, why do you (if you really do) prefer them over other yuri pairings?"

Hmmm... Good question. It's true that Mai Hime didn't have much yuri in it. In fact, Shizuru got rejected in the end. In the manga, Natsuki showed more interest in Takeda than Shizuru (that's why I didn't read it). When I first watched the anime, it didn't have that much impact on me. But when I read doujinshi (by Nanzaki Izu, etc) and fanfics, I started obsessing about them.

So going back to the question: "Why ShizNat?", I can't really explain it but I just love them. I'm not sure what other shiznat fans think of them or why they prefer them but for me, they are the best yuri couple ever..



Same with NanoFate. I found myself loving them even more (thanks to Dark and Passer). If you watch the anime, there's barely any hint of yuri around them but they make a great couple.

I didn't really answer the question, did I? Oh well, that's the best I can do for now. Oh, thanks for your email Lena. See? I even featured your question here :)

Since I can't read japanese, I can't say what really happened here but Shizuru and Natsuki had some Kawaii moments. I love this doujinshi. I would have loved it better if I knew what really happened.



Unfortunately, I don't know the title for this and some other raw doujinshi that Indiobotod shared so I will post one each day and add a number next to the title.

The story was when Ritsuko (6th grader) and Sayo (4th grader) were young and Sayo wanted to be Ritsuko's bride when she grows up. Ritsuko said it was impossible and was confident that it will never happen. Seven summers later, they are now a couple and Ritsuko still remembered that moment but Sayo didn't seem to have any memory of it.

This is the same author/artist of Sweet Little Devil, Heart & Soul, Girls' Don't Cry, Love Prep Room, Queen's Blade Manga, Queen's Blade Anime and of course, all Doropanda and Mai Hime Fanbooks doujinshi. I love all his work.

This is the sequel of Undeceive.



Akira was troubled why she tried to kiss Alicia the night they got drunk. She couldn't understand herself so she made an attempt to kiss her friend to confirm her feelings. She stopped before their lips met and realized she can't kiss just anyone.

When they met again, she told Alicia she liked her. Alicia leaned towards her and they kissed. Akira placed her head on Alicia's shoulder and Alicia saw her face turned red. She hugged Akira and slightly bit her ear. Akira asked if their companion will be back soon while Alicia kissed her neck and Akira said

"It's okay if we continue just a little bit more".



This sequel is even better. This is much sweeter than the first. I love it.

The Cherry Tree Correspondence

Hanaoka Sakurako was sitting on the ground reading her book when a book suddenly landed beside her. She looked up and saw people walking by the bridge and none of them acted like they've lost something. When she opened the book and she found a letter addressed to her. The letter was a confession from a person who was in love with her and the message said that if she was to take pity on the her and grant her a response, she can leave her letter in the hollow cherry tree by the bridge.

They both exchanged letters after that and she told her friends about it. She suspected that the girl might be from her school and Sumino, her classmate, came in and told her to be careful since the mysterious girl could be a terrible flirt or an ugly person. Sakurako defended her mysterious admirer and told Sumino didn't care what she looked like and that she has an incredible heart.

She wrote the girl and told her she wanted to meet her. The girl agreed but requested if she could wait until the cherry tree fully blossomed so she will have enough time to gather her courage to face her. When the day finally came, Sakurako was shocked to see who it was. The girl asked,

"Are you disappointed?"

Sukarako smiled and said,

"Not at all"

I love it!!! This is, by far, the best romantic one shot I've read. (for doujinshi, well, nothing beats the best yuri couple ever, Shiznat). Oh, I intended to not mention who the girl really was. You just have to read it and it's all worth it.

Rinko made a special new year's dishes because her girlfriend, Ai was sleeping over. Their friend asked her why she was suddenly into cooking and if she was training to become a bride. Rinko hugged Ai and said:

"I'm gonna be Ai-chan's bride".

Ai, gave her a serious look and said:

"Why do you get to be the bride? I want to be a bride too"

So Rinko told her "Well both be brides then".

A very cute love story and I love it. Their first story Ichiban Sukina Hito was one of my favorites and this sequel just made it on the list.

Keiko is a 30 year old arts instructor and Emi, 20 years old arts student. Emi confessed to Keiko and asked her to go out with her. Keiko accepted her, thinking it would be an interesting experience. She was trying so hard to act the role and she ended up competing with her (Emi was always sparkling with beauty and she envied her). What started out to be an experiment turned into love and she realized, she fell in love with Emi from the first time they met but she never knew it then. She hugged Emi, told her she loved her and asked her to go out with her.

This is the same artist/author, Morishima Akiko, who did Hanjuki Joshi which is also one of my favorites.
