Happy Anniversary!!!!

As most of you already know, today is my blog's birthday. Yay! It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I launched this. As you can see below, these are the running stats as of 3:00am this morning:



Thanks for all your support. Hope you continue to visit my blog. As for the template, bear with me a little. It will take a week for me to work on this. I will start posting the yuri clips I told you about before. Remember the poll? Yeah, most people said YES to it so I'll starting posting them soon.

Upcoming Posts: More Yuri!!!

I received two suggestions from anons and this is my response to them.

First suggestion was to post more shiznat doujinshi. I am currently searching for more shiznat doujin and I will post it as soon as I found one.

Second suggestion was to add yuri movies and yuri CGs to my blog. You're in luck since that's exactly what I am doing now. I have collected a couple of yuri games (demos only). Here are some of them:

Sorry, no updates yet this weekend. I will sift through my archives and see if there are yuri mangas that I haven't posted yet.

Yuru Yuri Manga, New Yuri Anime in 2010

The characters of "Yuru-Yuri" are *so* excited that even the voice balloons are in color! But mostly they sit around and talk in a classroom, so it's kind of a waste. lol Luckily, Ichinjinsha has lot of exciting things to sell tell you about, so all that color isn't entirely blown on abstract backgrounds. There seems to be some Yuri of some kind in the story, too. Mostly in the form of fantasy and wishful thinking. Okazu

It was also recently announced that Yuru Yuri will be animated. My friend Ghost In The Shell also made an post on his blog about this news.



According to Anime News Network's report dated January 18, 2010,

...The wraparound cover band on the second volume of Namori's Yuruyuri yuri manga has reportedly announced this month that a television anime adaptation of the manga has been green-lit. In this manga which runs in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine, four fun-loving schoolgirls take over the former room of a tea ceremony club for their own "Gorakubu" (amusement club).

I'm thrilled to hear that another yuri anime is coming out this year. Although, there is no scheduled date yet on when this anime will start its premier, but it's definitely something to look forward too.

Working!! A New Yuri Anime???

I read from Yuri no Boke's post that a new yuri anime is set to premier on April 2010 (scheduled date is yet to be announced). The launching of this new anime was first announced at the Anime News Network last 8/9/09. According to the recent update last 1/6/10:

....The official website for the television anime adaptation of Karino Takatsu's Working!! four-panel manga has posted a 107-second promotional video on Tuesday. The video was original shown at last week's Comic Market convention in Tokyo. On December 25, the website posted a 32-second "character trailer" that focuses on the main character, a high school freshman named Sōta Takanashi.

The story is set in a family restaurant named Wagnaria in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. Sōta works part-time among the restaurant's high-spirited, mysterious, yet cool staffers.

Takatsu's original manga runs in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine, and six compiled book volumes have been published. Yoshimasa Hiraike (Kaleido Star, Sketchbook ~full color'S~, Solty Rei) is directing the anime version, and Shingo Adachi (Megaman Star Force, Rockman.EXE Beast+) is designing the characters and overseeing the animation at A-1 Pictures Inc. Jun Fukuyama and Kana Asumi will play the characters Sōta and Popura, respectively. The television anime will premiere this April. Anime News Network.

After I read Yuri no Boke's post, I checked out the trailer for Working!! at Wagnaria, the official website for this anime. It couldn't understand Japanese but there was a few second shot that the character Todoroki Yachiyo, the hot girl with a sword, was blushing and had a I'm-in-love look on her face while talking to Shirafuji Kyouko (the female restaurant manager). I haven't read any news yet on what genre this new anime will be under (aside from its slice of life and comedy label). Is it really yuri? or is it just our wishful thinking? Whatever it is, I believe Yuri no Boke when she said that this is a yuri anime (the trailer did look like it will have a potential yuri element). I guess, I'll have another thing to look forward to this April.

New Yuri Animes in 2010

I was still hung up on the sad news that SK will air its last episode of the season in December 30, then another news came out about upcoming yuri animes in 2010.


I read the post made by Okazu and forum posts at Animesuki and Mania.com to gather these information:

Apparently, A1c, a Japanese adult company will start a new adult yuri anime brand in 2010 called Chu Chu and their first project is the animation of the adult yuri game Sono Hanabira ni Kuchi Duke wo
Anata to Koibito Tsunagi; that one deals with Mai and Reo by Fuguriya.

From what I've read, the character designer for the new yuri anime Sono Hanabira will be Kyuuta Sakai, same artist who did Strawberry Panic!.

But wait, there's more... According to Animenews.biz, the third season of Shin Koihime Musou Otome Tairan has been confirmed and is scheduled to air April 2010.

....The new series in Shin Koihime Musou Otome Tairan will air in April of next year, with the franchise known for its subtle and not so subtle lesbian and erotic overtones which masked a derivative story and flat humor to compensate for a poor (or spot-on depending on your feelings towards H-games) adaptation of the source material. Now just to remind you, these are ADULT yuri animes so not everybody might be too enthusiastic about this news.

As for me, I'm honestly looking forward for these releases. It would have been better if the new animes would be in romantic comedy form like SK but the thought that more yuri animes are starting to surface just made this a really good news.

On a totally unrelated news, K-On season 2 has also been confirmed based on Animenews.biz but no update yet on its scheduled release.

Wow! Now that's a good way to start a new year.

Girls' Love Festival 3

It seems that an interesting event is about to happened in Japan in March 28, 2010. I honestly don't have any idea what this festival is about or what to expect when you get there. The event will be held at this location:



Frankly, I don't know where that is but it sounds fun. By the word "Girls Love", it would mean it's gathering for all yuri lovers, right? It would have been great if I could be there too.

Sad News

I'm probably the last to know this that on December 30, 2009, Sasameki Koto Episode 13 " Calling You" is the final episode of the season.

I wonder if I would had to wait ages again until the second season is released? Just like Aoi Hana, whose final episode for season 1 ended September 10, 2009, there are still no updates on when the second season will be. I'm not surprised since SK season 1 is just about to end so it's still too early to have any updates on its Season 2 release, if there's any (please let there be a season 2)

The manga is still on going though, which is a good thing. At least we still get to see how close Sumika and Kazaka will become. My wishful thinking is that one day, we'd also get to watch our favorite yuri anime with 20 or 30 some episodes. Other animes even have episodes up to 40 or more, why can't yuri anime have that as well? I guess it would be too dragging and annoying if it did last that long.

Oh well, I just have to patiently wait for Dynasty Scans to release the translated manga chapters. I'd die if the manga gets licensed before we even get to see if Sumika and Kazama will become a couple. That would be mean I'd have to buy the manga, which is not really an option for me at this point.

My-Hime EXA to be launched in January 2010

Okay, this is just to share on what was recently brought to my attention. Thanks to my friend Ghost in the Shell, he just told me that the new manga My-Hime EXA will be released next year.

According to Anime News Network:

The February issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine is announcing on Saturday that the My-Hime EXA manga will launching in the next issue on January 27. Kōteiryū (Maji-Kyū 4-Koma Fate/stay night) will draw the manga based on a script by Ryo Suzukaze (Demonbane, .hack//CELL, IDOLM@STER: XENOGLOSSIA manga/novels). As in all My-Hime projects, the Sunrise planning team are collectively credited for the original story under the pseudonym Hajime Yatate.

Oh my God, does that mean I'd get to read more on Shizuru and Natsuki? There's no update yet if our favorite yuri couple will appear on this series but based on the image, Natsuki is there. But where's Shizuru? God, I'm so looking forward to this.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie

Okay, so this is not exactly the type of post I usually publish but I'd just like to share this.

Here's the trailer for Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie. This is still raw so don't expect a subtitle when you watch this. But who cares? It's Nanoha and Fate. I don't care what language it is.

Nanoha and Fate are so cute. I'm hoping it will still have a hint of yuri/shoujo ai though, just like the original anime.
