Finally, Chapter 30 has been translated.

Akko followed Mari and Mayu when they went shopping and she went all jealous. When Mari took Mayu's glasses and told her she looked cuter without it, Akko said,

"But... I'm... way cuter than she is!"


She decided to go home and asked herself what "going out" means. She thought that friends go out too and the only difference was they were kissing. She thought,

"Because I love you, I want to ask for 'certain things'."


I love it. Mari was wearing Akko's ring and I love what it says on Akko's love letter. It's very sweet. No wonder Mari kissed it after she read it. I'm just a little bothered about Mari's reason why she went to see Mayu. She thought,

"I wanted to become cuter so that I would be suitable friend for Akko."

FRIEND? Shouldn't it be GIRL FRIEND? Mari can't make up her mind, she pisses me off sometimes. But she did told Mayu that she is going out with someone. She didn't say it was Akko but I guess that's okay.

Akko says she wanted to ask for "certain things".. Does she mean she wants their relationship to go to the next level? I hope so. GF will end after 5 or 6 more chapters. I can't wait to see what happens before then.

Tsumari always see Miyuki at the same spot everyday at exactly 7:47 am. She is in love with her but they don't know each other. One day, she came home and saw Miyuki with a guy. Miyuki saw her and she stopped but Tsumari turned around and ran. Next day, She passed by the same spot again at 7:47am and she was still crying, saying,

"I...like...I like you...I like you..."

She heard a girl said,

"...I like you too."

She looked up and saw Miyuki in front of her.


I love this one shot. Tsumari makes sure that she passes by the corner at exactly 7:47am just to catch a glimpse of Miyuki. Later, she found out that Miyuki was doing the exact same thing just to see her.

Upcoming BD's From Funimation

Following up on my article 'Where are all the BD Releases', Funimation does have plans for a quite a few BD's coming up this year that are not yet on the 'official' schedule (which is what we post pre-order's from and only covers releases scheduled over the next 90 days or so).

Funi's recent pack-in marketing material (the little books they put in with their DVD's) list series like Guyver, RIN Daughters of Mnemosyne , Black Cat, and Desert Punk that will be coming on BD early this summer. Other titles (including some new releases) like Afro Samurai (Murder Sessions), Black Blood Brothers, Casshern Sins , Eden of The East, Full Metal Panic and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are also planned for BD release later this year. And from what I'm hearing, there will be lots more.

Hopefully some of the other studios will jump on this bandwagon soon as well.

I'd also like to dispel this stuff going around about 'all' of Funi's BD's being upscaled. That is completely untrue. The deal is that Funi has only upscaled in the absence of original HD source material. Their BD's will be produced from original High Def source material as long as it's available, just like the recent Eva 1.11 BD - which looks incredible by the way. Unfortunately there is a large amount of Anime in everyone's back catalog that was not produced in HD, and those releases will either have to be upscaled or not released at all on BD, and given the choice I'll take an upscale over 'not at all'. I think their upscales, for what they are, look pretty darned good. :-)

She went to work and she got a call a strange call from Naori. She ran to her apartment and she overheard some guys talking. One guy said,

"A lover's double suicide. They jumped off together."

She tried to call Arisa but she never answered. When she was outside her apartment building, there were police around the area and she knew that Arisa and Naori were the ones who jumped off the building.

I love this story. Moegi eventually fell in love with her and she thought,

"I want to be the one to let myself fall into the hands of the witch, who penetrates people's hearts so brilliantly."
