Friends showing their support of anime

I'm still reeling from that Twitter comment from earlier today.  That's not something I take lightly, and I don't think any anime fan should.  I'm seriously not sure how someone could make a comment and feel okay about it.  It think it goes to show that that guy is completely out of touch with anything related to anime.

That's all beyond the point though!  I'm hear to talk about an interaction I had today based on that story.  I'm very happy to say that it's a positive comment, and I can't thank the person enough for showing their support.  When one person makes a classless comment, another steps in to take the high road.  That's just one of the many reasons i love anime fans.

A few months back, I had the pleasure of striking up an email conversation with Anthony Padilla of the internet comedy duo Smosh.  I'm sure plenty of you guys have checked out some of their videos on YouTube.  They're definitely one of the biggest comedy success stories on YouTube that I know of!  The best part is, they both seem to be really down to earth.

Anthony and I have been talking via email for awhile now, and not that long ago we got into a conversation about anime.  This lead to a recommendation of Death Note, and now Anthony is deeply interested in the series.  It's hard to watch Death Note and not feel that way!  We've been chatting about the series and anime in general ever since, and today Anthony showed his support for anime fans everywhere.

I got an email from Anthony concerning that negative comment from Twitter earlier today.  He read it and was disgusted just like you guys, and made a point to declare his anime love on his own Twitter account.  To see that kind of support really makes me smile, and I needed it after that interaction earlier today.

This show of support goes right along with what you guys have commented and Tweeted today.  Some of you decided to show your support for anime and anime fans.  Others sent over truly kind words to me concerning the interaction.  I can't thank you all enough for you taking the time out of your day to comment on the matter and show your love of anime.

You know that my main goal with this blog is to spread the great content of anime and show others what they're missing.  I'll never, ever stop spreading the word, no matter how ignorant or rude the comments get.  All that is worth it, because I know how great anime and anime fans can be.  You guys have already proven that in the short time that this blog has been open.
