Anime that gets better with each viewing

I've been trying to be as active as possible on our Twitter account.  As you guys may know, I'm not really into Twitter all that much, but I have to admit that it's fantastic finding other anime fans out there.  As far as that aspect is concerned, Twitter is a great tool.  I've also had the pleasure of checking up on what anime-related Tweets people are sending out, and I'm noticing one trend in specific.

Out of all the anime tweets out there, I've seen a great deal of people talking about watching a specific anime movie or series multiple times.  While I'm always focused on watching an anime feature that's new to me, these tweets helped me to realize that perhaps I need to revisit anime that I've already checked out.  There are reasons why I love specific anime, and it makes perfect sense to go back and relive some of those moments.

Yes, some of the magic is lost when you rewatch an anime.  You just can't relive those moments where you didn't know what was going to happen next.  That element of surprise is pretty much gone the first time you go through, but a repeat viewing can bring about new emotions that you didn't get the first time around.  In other words, repeat viewings don't allow for certain feelings that were spent the first time around, but you gain new experience on a second run-through!

Case in point, my experiences with FLCL.  Without a doubt, I've seen FLCL more than any other anime out there.  Those that have watched it know that repeat viewings can work wonders for the series.  I absolutely, 100% guarantee that you won't see all that FLCL has to offer the first time around.  That includes not just storyline elements, but visuals as well.  There's just so much in this series that's jam-packed into 6 episodes.  New avenues, character traits, hints at future story elements and more won't come into play once you've digested the series a few times.

What anime do you think gets better with each viewing?  I'm sure you all have a series that you've seen multiple times.  What ones can't you get enough of?
